S Venkatachalam, Chief Executive Officer

Joined NLG in July 2003, he is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. In addition he is a Cost Accountant from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. The company has shown exponential growth under his able leadership.

He has an experience of over 33 years in the Middle East region having held various senior management positions.

G. Gopinath, General Manager, Operations

Joined NLG in January 2004, he is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and of the Insurance Institute of India. In addition he has a degree in Cost accountancy from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a Certified Internal Auditor degree from Institute of Internal Auditors, USA. As General Manager-Operations,he heads the entire insurance operations of the company including Life, Health and General Insurance.

He has experience of over 20 years and he has varied industry experience with prestigious organizations such as Price Waterhouse and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.

Sameer C Nair, Assistant General Manager – Health & Life Underwriting

Joined NLG in November 2003, he is Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication and also holds a Fellow Diploma by Insurance Institute of India. He was promoted as Assistant General Manager – Health & Life Underwriting in 2017 and heads the Underwriting function for Life and Health divisions of the Company.

He has more than 17 years of experience of which 15 years of experience is in the Insurance Industry with NLGIC. Previously He was associated with ICICI Bank, India.

Ammar Hassan Dawood Al Lawati, Assistant General Manager – General Insurance Operations

Joined NLGIC in March 2019 as Assistant General Manager – General Insurance Operations, he is a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from Majan College, Master in Business Administration from Bedfordshire University, Advanced Diploma in Insurance Studies from Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance. He is responsible for the entire General insurance operations of the Company.
He has 15 years of experience in Underwriting, Claims Processing, Marketing, and Product & Service Development from Insurance Industry and has held various positions in Vision Insurance & Al Ahlia Insurance Company.

Ravi Iyer, Chief Financial Officer

Joined NLG in January 2014, he is Associate member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
He has 20 years in Finance of which 13 years of experience is in Insurance Industry. His insurance industry experience includes insurance organizations such as Prudential offices of UK, Singapore and India.

Uma Venkatesan, Head- Quality and Internal Control

Joined NLG in January 2006, she is Associate member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Associate of Insurance Institute of India and has Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. She is the Head of Risk and Internal Control and is in charge of the risk and internal control function of the Company since 2012.

She has over 10 years of varied industry experience with Public sector companies and software firms in ERP field and over 11 years of experience in Insurance Industry with NLGIC.

Sajith Nair, Head – Human Capital

Joined NLG in May 2015, Mr.Sajith is having Masters degree in Human resources. He is a seasoned HR professional with 20 years of experience, out of 9 years with Insurance Sector which includes JVs of Allianz Group and Standard Life Insurance Group. He is heading Human Resources, Infrastructure, Facilities & Administration, Learning & Development and Organization Culture.

Ani Sadasivan, Senior Branch Manager – Kuwait

Joined NLG during June’ 2018. He is an Engineer by profession having 23 years of experience in Sales & Marketing,Building Distribution,Channel and Team Management with leading Companies of high repute in Insurance, Banking and Engineering Industries with proven track record.

Out of the total experience, last 14 years with prestigious Insurance Companies like Birla and Reliance in India and now with NLG.He heads the entire operations of the Company in Kuwait for Life, Medical and General Insurance.
